Budget Report 2025-26

With decentralization of power and people's planning giving a new direction to rural development, local self-government institutions have become strong centers of public welfare activities. The 2026-27 budget of Tavanur Grama Panchayat has been prepared in connection with the Annual Development Plan as per the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act.

The panchayat is progressing by effectively utilizing decentralized planning for local economic development and social justice. Even though its own sources of income are limited, the panchayat has been able to achieve 100% tax collection by efficiently collecting property tax, employment tax, license fees, etc.

It is expected that the government's share will be available in the form of Development Fund, SCP, Central Finance Commission Grant, Maintenance Grant and General Purpose Grant in the financial year 2025-26.

The vision of the budget has been formulated keeping in mind social justice, sustainable development, welfare activities and infrastructure development. The main objective of the panchayat is to implement practical and comprehensive development plans by mobilizing maximum resources, considering the landscape of the village and the needs of the people.
